Every January, a team of volunteers travel to Kingston, Jamaica to provide health care and education to the community. The team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other volunteers care for between 500 and 700 patients during the 12-day mission. We serve with Franciscan Ministries of Kingston in the communities of inner-city Kingston and travel to St Elizabeth province to provide care and health education in rural communities.

Our program in Jamaica has a strong emphasis on diet and chronic disease management because of the high rates of diabetes and hypertension we have encountered. Health Educators, as well as Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists are always needed on all our teams, including the Jamaica team.

"The unity and hard work brought forth by all team leaders and members allowed us to give the best care and support to each community."
