Find A Mission
Global Health Volunteers currently serve in four countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. We collaboratively work with our in-country partners as well as in-country volunteers to promote development and growth. We serve at the invitation of our in-country partners who connect the mission teams with patients that are most in need of health care.
These partners also assist us by coordinating housing, meals, and in-country transportation. Our in-country partners also coordinate follow-up care for patients.
Our teams work together to provide primary care service, surgical procedures, at-home care to those people in the most remote areas while conducting/assisting in regional and community health education programs.
All our medical and surgical teams are expected to adhere to the Standards of Care of the World Health Organization, the country served and the Joint Commission. This includes doing all that is possible to ensure that patients receive the follow-up care they need, with the first standard of care being, "do no harm."
